The founder and CEO of CCC reflects on his own father’s remarkable parenting, which equipped him to tackle seemingly insurmountable challenges. Growing up in a Bangladeshi village where 90% children could not to finish senior high school in the 1970s, his father, the late Ali Akbar Muhammed (may God’s mercy be upon him), taught him to listen, read, and write attentively. He often reminded his son to be courageous and truthful, always prioritising family and community above personal ambition or status.
His father’s advice, “If you ever need to step away from a top leadership role for the sake of your children, don’t hesitate,” embodies the spirit of selflessness that builds strong families. Ashraf, resigned from an Australian University affiliated College Campus in Bangladesh which he founded in early 1990s to give more time to his children. By instilling values of bravery, honesty, and a commitment to other fellow humans, we empower the next generation to help create more peaceful nations.
